Even with the overcast skies, barren trees and fresh blanket of snow there were surprising moments during my walk through the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield on Saturday morning when splashes of color helped to define the scene. Here are a few of them. :)
I don't know how many of these birdhouses they have, but I'd apparently missed 20 of them.
The farm buildings remind me of my home state of Vermont.
Decorations left over from the Trail of Lights still festooned the trees. Have you had a chance to work "festoon" into casual conversation today?
Good to see the arboretum showing their support for the Broncos. Too bad it didn't help much.
Despite its obvious age, this old car looks like it could run just fine once the snow is brushed off.
One last glimpse of the barn and silo through a tangle of snow-covered vegetation, and it was time to call it a morning. And a wonderful one at that. :)
